Wild Bill | Milwaukee Brewers Mural

Painted in Black Cat Alley as part of the Milwaukee Brewers’ #BeyondTheDiamond community engagement program, Wild Bill is a bold, high-energy mural celebrating All-Star catcher William “Wild Bill” Contreras. The project was coordinated by the Milwaukee Brewers and created in collaboration with illustrator Brent Schoonover.

Bringing an anime-inspired illustration style to life on the wall, the mural pairs dynamic linework with bright, fearless color to make the piece pop for fans and passersby alike. The result is a larger-than-life tribute that feels playful, powerful, and unmistakably Milwaukee.

At its core, Wild Bill is about fandom, community, and showing up for the city—proof that art and sports share the same magic: connection, pride, and a whole lot of heart. For a lifelong baseball fan, this one was an absolute home run.
